Situated in the Nort East of Nepal the Dolpa is one of the most interesting trekking destinations for many reasons. First of all, Dolpa is one of the first largest district of Nepal with an area of 7,889km square. Its topography is very interesting. Hidden away by the lofty Tibetan Plateau in the North, Dhaulagiri in the East (the world’s seventh highest mountain at 8,167m). Same wise, Dolpa contains the deepest lake of Nepal, Lake Phoksundo, which is also happens to be the deepest lake of high altitude in the world. More ever, it is also well known as the hidden kingdom of Nepal which is still ruled by king of Dolpa. Dolpa is one of the restricted regions of Nepal which requires a special permit to visit which provides us beautiful scene of the surrounding. The wilderness lower Dolpo trekking will leads the trekkers to the hidden and typical land of the Dolpa districts also known as the deserted area of Nepal. The trekking to the hidden valley will be very mesmerizing indeed.

While the Dolpa trek is truly beautiful, the majestic and uniqueness of the region was probably further mafe known by ‘The Snow Leopard’, the award winning novel written by Perter Matthiesssen in 1979, not to mention ‘Himalaya’, the 1999 Oscar nominated movie.While trekking in the upper Dolpa, you will forget your all the things and fully concentrate with the amazing local culture and majestic views of the treeless barren land.
