Trishuli is Nepal's most popular rafting river. The legend says that high in the Himalayas at Gosainkunda the god Shiva drove his trident into the ground to create three springs which become the source of the river and hence its name Trishuli. The Trishuli River is Nepal’s most popular rafting river for a number of reasons. It is easily accessible from both Kathmandu and Pokhara, its path takes you through majestically high gorges and beautiful scenic valleys and it also has the perfect mix of gentle areas and exciting rapids which enables the difficulty of the rafting trip to be tailored to you wishes. This river is perfect for family and school groups who have had no prior rafting experience. This river is also popular with kayakers as an easy access “play river” and as a warm up for the more difficult and challenging rivers.
