Trip of a lifetime - thank you Scenic Nepal Treks
We did the 14 day trek to ABC Trek with Scenic Nepal Treks. From booking it became clear just how attentive and well planned Dipendra and the team were. We arrived at Kathmandu airport and were met by Dipendra , who took us to our hotel. We were then introduced to our guide Shankar who took us to our bus to Pokhara.A comfortable stay in Pokhara was followed by the trek starting, with Shankar and our porter Kiki. Both were incredibly professional, friendly and helpful throughout and we had an absolutely amazing trek up and down. Again the return to Kathmandu was great and Dipendra made the return journey easy again. Throughout the trek, the company were everything we would have wanted and we would both recommend them to anyone. Trip of a lifetime - thankyou Scenic Nepal Treks - Rachel Bower, Australia
Experience of a Lifetime. Everest Base Camp in monsoon season: Highly recomend Scenic Nepal Treks
This month my friend Jon and I did the Everest Base Camp Trek. It was honestly one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Filled with beautiful mountains, raging rivers, suspended bridges and villages, it is really the place to find yourself. A 12 day trek involved an unforgettable plane flight, ceremonies in the monasteries with the monks, badminton games interrupted by yaks, river crossings on suspension bridges, breakfast with monks, mediating and yoga in the clouds, meeting Nepalese people who are just so incredibly happy and generous, beautiful dogs joining our expedition, playing with the local children, staggering waterfalls, trekking over 150km (return trip) through mountains, villages and valleys tofinally end up at Everest Base Camp and the Khumbu Glacier at 5364m with an absolutely incredible bunch of legends & friends. It is absolutely mind blowing what a walk in the Himalayas can do for your mind, body and soul.Yes it is possible to trek to Base Camp in July! I was unsure about doing the trek in Monsoon, but I am so incredibly glad we did it at this time. There was literally no one else on the mountain. It was exactly as you'd expect the trek to be. No rubbish on the trails. No tourists. The air was extremely clean. 20-25* Degrees everyday. Tshirt and shorts. Although it is monsoon season, you are above the rain line. Out of the 12 days, we had one that sprinkled. Most of the rain happens during the night when you are cosy in the tea house, and it's beautiful to go to sleep to. Scenic Treks went above and beyond during and after our tour. Rajan, Dependra and KK looked after us extremely well. We were continually learning about the mountains, Nepal & the culture through their extensive knowledge. With 22 years experience on the mountains, I wouldn't go with anyone else. - Jon Franko, Australia
One of the most rewarding experiences of my life!
I recently did the 14 day Everest base camp trek in July 2018 with my friend. Everything ran super smooth from the moment we were picked up from the airport to when it was time to say our goodbyes. Our guide was Rajan who spoke English really well and understood everything we asked of him. He was compassionate and knowledgeable as well as friendly. Our Porter was KK, he was always smiling even though we were certain our bags were no light load and his English was exceptional also. Finally Dipendra who organised not only our EBC trek but also organised a 6 day motorbike tour for us after our trek at a great price. As far as the trek was concerned all I can say is this is a MUST DO bucket list item. The food was authentic and plentiful, the scenery was beautiful and constantly changing and the accommodation was comfortable and cozy. I have found my new favorite country! - Alexandra, Germany
Unique experience with very kind and professional guides!
We (2 girls) had the most amazing time during our trek! having both spent some time in the alps, it was our first time in Nepal and we were stunned by the beauty of the nature and atmosphere. The trek was very well organized and we felt safe and taken care of all the time, as Kumar and the other guides did everything to make it a once in a lifetime experience.Dipendra, the owner, takes care about every detail - even beyond the tour itself and we were impressed by his kindness and professional attitude. Truly an experience to remember - highly recommended! - Abraham Sebastian, Malaysia
An Awesome Adventure to Everest Base Camp Trek
It was an amazing experience going up to the Everest Base Camp with Scenic Nepal. This was our 2nd adventure with Scenic Nepal, having gone up to the Annapurna Base Camp with them just a few months prior to this. So when we decided to head to EBC, there was no doubt who we would be getting in touch with. We were taken care of from the moment we touched down at the Kathmandu airport up till our flight home.We were well equipped for the hike thanks to the tips and advice from the Scenic Nepal team on what to get and how to prepare. Once we started off our awesome adventure, we would be briefed again each morning on what to expect that day. Throughout the journey they made sure each and every one of us in the group were doing okay and made the necessary adjustments to the pace or route taken, when one of us were not doing too well. In fact, a group member fell quite ill, but they made sure someone was with him the entire time even when he had to turn back while the rest of us continued.Anyone would be worried, at least a little bit, when hiking at such high altitudes, but knowing we had such an experienced, understanding and responsible team guiding us, put our minds at ease and allowed us to just enjoy the beautiful trails and sceneries. They also make the trip all the more fun, cracking jokes to make us laugh, as we teased each other, got to know one another better, and bonded.I definitely look forward to our next expedition with Scenic Nepal. - Melissa Lim, Malaysia
Everest Base Camp Trek VIA Chola Pass and Gokyo Valley
A 14 days trek; 12 days up and 2 days down. Everything was professionally organised upon landing at Kathmandu. Warmly greeted by the Scenic Nepal team.We were advised of the arduous journey ahead prior and to prepare adequately. It was an exciting journey ahead, from the famous Tenzing Hillary airport to Kalapather and of course the EBC. We were a group of 5 managed by our lead guide Kumar and his assistant Ramesh together with 2 strong porters.Throughout the journey, our guide made sure that we were adequately prepared and healthy enough before starting the trek each day. He relentlessly reminded us to drink plenty of water to prevent AMS, and obviously none of us had any AMS symptoms at all! At the most dangerous part of the trek, the cho la pass trek, our guide risked his own body by carrying our bags and helping us getting across icy boulders towards gokyo. He patiently waited for those falling behind and made sure everyone get it through the day. A very very responsible guide indeed.Scenic Nepal never fails to deliver. This is our second time travelling with them and I am sure it is not the last. - Viven Chang, Malaysia
Best team; provide you good Service
This is my first experience that I have to trek at high altitude during cold weather with a big group of lovely hiking/running friends, well, a great supports and substantive helps from Team of Scenic Nepal Treks is definitely needed in order to have a great pleasure and awesome memories with our friends. There were plenty unpredicted events happened prior to and during treks, such as injury before trek, flight issues, altitude sickness etc. Without them, all of us were unable to finish our trek in such sweet memories and in “good piece”. A lot of advises before trip from very responsive and patience, Dipendra. Everything were well planned and prepared upon our arrival, telephone sim-card, local currency exchange, photos for trek permits etc. No complains from our lovely porters to carry our heavy belongings during treks, even offered immediately to carry all your personal bag when they saw you were tired.A heartfelt thanks to my personal porter, Vimal always stand-by for me and followed me closely when I suffered my knee pain, and also Raj offered medical cream to me; Rajan and Raj offered immediately garlic/garlic soup to our trek friends when they hear altitude sickness from our team; Ramesh also made a lot of jokes to cheer us during trek. There are so many caring porters accompanied us to complete this uneasy task. The trip wouldn’t be so fun and safe without them too. There are too many grateful memories with them which I’m unable to finish all the sharing.A big thank you to Team of Scenic Nepal Treks for their excellent services and keep us the good job. Fingers crossed and peace of mind if you trek with them. - Colin Chien, Australia
Best Experienced to Annapurna Base Camp
A group of nature loving people and hiking enthusiasts - mainly from Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia - banded together with a desire to undertake the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek in Nepal.Through the contacts and past experiences of the group, we came to know of a dear Nepalese gentleman in Kathmandu by the name of Mr Dipendra. Mr Dipendra presented us with an exceptional package deal to trek up to the ABC and back. In Australia where I am based, I was previously quoted $2k+++AUD for a similar 12-14 day base camp trek ex-Kathmandu (excluding international flights). The opportunity therefore to directly engage with our local contact in Kathmandu was very welcomed and proved to be much better value. 18 of us joined up in a WhatsApp chat Room, and asked many questions regarding the trek with Mr Dipendra. All the queries we had were addressed promptly and that gave us certainty. When we requested to book a couple of extra nights in Kathmandu at a highly rated hotel, our local contact was once again able to secure and provide better-than-advertised-prices compared to online self-booking websites! This is the first time in all of our travel that we felt we were truly able to access significant value via local connections. Aside from always being accommodating and giving me a sense of genuine care in the offer of their services, perhaps what I cherished most was the nature of the relationship that was so friendly, trustworthy and reliable. The guides and potters selected by Mr Dipendra were truly amazing and of solid character.Thank you also for the unexpected perks and extras; from the mountain BBQ celebration party to the surprise hotel upgrade in Pokhara to the scrumptious farewell dinner back in Kathmandu followed by VIP club access at the Purple Haze, plus free t-shirts from Scenic Nepal Treks and many more...Thinking back, I cannot believe how lucky I have been to have be in such good care and memorable journey. You guys are so much more than a fabulous tour service, you have been a fantastic host of Nepal and I thank you with heartfelt gratitude!
